Is it prohibited to beat someone on the back of the head? I read that it was however I've seen many fights where one fighter pounces on the back of the other's head and is never reprimanded, the fight isn't even stopped. The latest death, just a few month ago, was due to that very reason. If MAA refuses to adhere to it's own rules how is this a sport and not a death match?

Why is it a requirement for a fighter be knocked unconscious (or drop dead) in order to finalize the fight and declare a winner? The game has already been won and is evident, so what's the point in that? (I'm truly asking, there may be a valid reason, I just would like to know what it is.)
